ICTM Awards

ICTM sponsors nine awards given at the ICTM Annual Conference in October of each year.  You can find guidelines for nomination and a list of past recipients of each reward below.  All applications and supporting documents are due by March 31 of the application year.  Award winners receive 5 years of paid ICTM membership as well as a plaque in their honor.

To send in a nomination for the ICTM Awards, you will need to: 

  1. Download and Complete the Award Application PDF (Required): This new application process does not require a resume.  You can simply input the relevant information directly into the PDF.  Please make sure your nominee meets the criteria for the award before submitting by examining the criteria given through the links below.
  2. Obtain a Current Resume of the Nominee (Optional): You may also obtain a resume of the nominee to use if you wish instead of completing page 3 of the above application.
  3. Obtain Letters of Support (Required): You will also need at least three, but not more than six, letters of support with the name and email address of the authors.
  4. Submit the Full Nomination Packet: Once all the above information has been assembled, you may submit it in one of two ways. 
    1. Online: Upload all the above files in a single zipped folder or as individual files to this website using the Online Award Nomination FormClick here to enter the online submission portal.
    2. Email: Email all the above files in a single zipped folder or as individual files directly to Martha Reilly at [email protected]

The Max Beberman Mathematics Educator Award honors one outstanding person each year who has made significant contributions to the field of mathematics education through research, curriculum design, or teacher training.

Fred Flener Award: Engaging Students in Math Beyond the Classroom

The Fred Flener Award: Engaging Students in Math Beyond the Classroom honors one outstanding person each year who has fostered students’ learning of mathematics outside of the normal classroom environment.
