Guidelines for Nomination

The nominee should meet all of the following requirements:

  1. Be a highly motivated 9-12 mathematics teacher in Illinois whose current assignment includes teaching math at least 50% of the time.
  2. Have prolonged effective service in the classroom.
  3. Have been an active participant in professional organizations.
  4. Be a contributor to the advancement of mathematics education.
  5. Show continued growth as a mathematics educator.
  6. Provide leadership for and influence others toward improved mathematics education.
