The Illinois Council of Teachers of Mathematics meets every fall, gathering pre-K through College educators from across the state of Illinois for an inspirational time of professional development, collaboration, and community.  

Date: Saturday, September 19, 8:30 - 4:00

Location: This will be a fully in-person conference at the NIU conference center in Naperville

Conference Theme: Falling in Love with Math

Keynote Speaker: We are very excited to have Nat Banting joining us for the conference! Nat is an award winning classroom teacher from Canada who is known for numerous projects aimed at bringing playful math to students of all ages. He has given numerous keynote presentations across the United States and Canada as well as numerous professional development workshops. 

Conference Program:  The Conference Program is coming soon! We will be using a virtual program this year using the application SCHED. It is recommended that all attendees download the SCHED App on their phones and search for "ICTM" to locate an interactive 2026 program. If attendees would like to print an abbreviated hard-copy to have at the conference, we will post an abbreviated PDF

Conference Pricing (Click HERE to begin Registration): 

  • $80 for ICTM Members, $130 for non-members (non-member registrations will receive a 1-year complimentary membership)
  • $20 for ICTM Student Members (College students studying to be teachers); $50 for college student non-members (includes a 1-year complimentary membership).
  • If you are not a member, you will have the option of becoming one during registration to receive member pricing.
  • Payments can be made by credit card, check, or a school purchase order.
  • Note: Registration is reduced for lead speakers. They should register using the special link that will be e-mailed to them.

Food Included with Registration: There will be lite breakfast items, a variety of boxed lunches, afternoon snack, and beverages.

Group Registrations: If you are a school personnel and want to register a group of teachers at one time and pay all at once, please e-mail [email protected] and we will do that with you. There are no group discounts for this conference.

Paying with School Purchase Orders: We do accept school purchase orders and can work with your finance office to make this happen. Please contact [email protected] and we can work together to get you what your office needs.

Conference Scholarships: Educators working in high-needs districts can apply for one of our five Jerry Becker Equitable Access Conference Scholarships. These scholarships include conference registration, a 1-year ICTM membership, and potentially some funds to help with travel fees.  Click here to read more about the scholarships and complete the application. IL Professional Development Hours: All IL teachers who attend the full conference are eligible to receive 6.5 IL PD hours. Attendees must follow the posted check-in/check-out procedures that will be posted at the conference.

Tentative Conference Schedule

  • 7:30 - 8:30       Registration & Lite Breakfast
  • 8:30 - 10:00     ICTM Welcome & Keynote
  • 10:10 - 11:00   Session 1
  • 11:10 - 12:00   Session 2
  • 12:00 - 1:00     Lunch (Boxed Lunch included) 
  • 1:00 - 1:50       Session 3
  • 2:00 - 2:50       Session 4
  • 3:00 - 3:50       Session 5

Awards Ceremony: The ICTM Annual awards ceremony will be held directly after the conference in the same location. There will be a social time from 4:00 to 4:30, and the ceremony will go from approximately 4:30 - 6:00. We will honor our ICTM award winners, college scholarship recipients, and recent presidential award winners. All are welcome!

Exhibitor Hall: There will be many conference exhibitors that you can visit throughout the conference and during lunch. If you are an exhibitor looking for details on participating, click HERE!

Hotels/Accommodations: There are MANY different hotels in the immediate Naperville area. There is not a specific hotel or hotel block for this year's conference.  Choose accommodations that work best for you!
