The 2022 Annual Conference was a Success!

Over 450 educators gathered on Saturday, October 29 (8:30 - 4:30) at the NIU Conference Center in Naperville!  Our keynote speaker was Peter Liljedahl, author of "Building Thinking Classrooms in K-12 Mathematics". Many speakers shared digital files of their sessions in our digital conference program.  Take a look! We are also thankful to our wonderful sponsors that help make our conference possible. The Illinois Council of Teachers of Mathematics meets every October, gathering pre-K through College educators from across the state of Illinois for an inspirational time of professional development, collaboration, and community. We have sessions and workshops led by some of the best educators in the state. This year is the 71st annual ICTM conference!

Date: Saturday, October 29, 8:30 - 4:30

Location: This will be a fully in-person conference at the NIU conference center in Naperville

Conference Theme: Stronger Together (Session Strands: Equity and Access, Innovative Practices, Mathematics Teaching and Learning, and Collaboration & Coaching)

Keynote Speaker: We are very excited to have Peter Liljedahl joining us for the conference! Peter is the author of "Building Thinking Classrooms in Mathematics: Grades K-12".

Conference Pricing: 

  • $75 for ICTM Members, $120 for non-members (non-member registrations will receive a 1-year complimentary membership)
  • $25 for ICTM Student Members (College students studying to be teachers); $45 for college student non-members (includes a 1-year complimentary membership).
  • If you are not a member, you will have the option of becoming one during registration to receive member pricing.
  • Payments can be made by credit card, check, or a school purchase order.
  • Note: Registration is free for lead speakers. They should register using the special link that will be e-mailed to them.

Food Included with Registration: There will be lite breakfast items, a variety of boxed lunches, afternoon snack, and beverages.

Group Registrations: If you are a school personnel and want to register a group of teachers at one time and pay all at once, please e-mail [email protected] and we will do that with you. There are no group discounts for this conference.

Conference Scholarships: Applications for the Jerry Becker Equitable Access Conference Scholarships have been accepted and recipients will be notified in the near future!

IL Professional Development Hours: All attendees who attend the full conference are eligible to receive 7 IL PD hours. Attendees must follow the posted check-in/check-out procedures that will be posted at the conference.

Conference Program: Here is a link to our online conference program! We are utilizing a digital program through SCHED. 

Awards Ceremony: The ICTM Annual awards ceremony will be held directly after the conference in the same location. There will be a social time from 4:30 to 5:00, and the ceremony will go from approximately 5:00 - 6:30. We will honor our ICTM award winners, college scholarship recipients, and recent presidential award winners. All are welcome!

People Scavenger Hunt: To help raise money for our conference and college scholarships, there will be a fun, optional "people scavenger hunt" at the conference. For any donation of $5 or more, you will get a special card to complete during the conference. Completed cards get a guaranteed prize and entered into a drawing for one of several free ICTM Memberships.

Hotels/Accommodations: There are 18 different hotels in the immediate Naperville area. To see a list of these hotels, click here.  There is not a specific hotel or hotel block for this year's conference.  Choose accommodation that work best for you!
