Proposed ICTM Bylaws Amendment(s)

A motion has passed at an ICTM board meeting that proposes to change the wording of at least one ICTM bylaw.  Per the stipulations of the bylaws, these proposed changes must be made available to all members, and all members must be given information on their rights as voting members.

If you are an active ICTM member and would like to vote on this proposed change, then please attend the annual ICTM business meeting at this year's annual conference in Peoria.  The business meeting will be on Saturday morning (Oct 19).  Please see the conference brochure for exact time and location

Original Wording (ARTICLE XI Amendment to the Bylaws):

The Bylaws of the Council may be amended by a majority vote of the members present at any Annual Business Meeting of the Council, provided the amendment has been submitted to the Board and notice of the proposed amendment shall have been sent by mail electronically on the ICTM listserve and on the ICTM Website too so every member of the Council has had an opportunity to review the amendments before the Annual Meeting.

Proposed New Wording (ARTICLE XI Amendment to the Bylaws):

The Bylaws of the Council may be amended by the following process:

  1. the amendment has been submitted to the Board,
  2. notice of the proposed amendment has been disseminated to ICTM members (i.e.: ICTM listserve and on the ICTM Website) at least one week prior to voting so every member of the Council has had an opportunity to review the amendments before the vote,
